During 2011 and 2012 we fortunate to be involved as both the architects and landscape designers for the renovation of this collection of beautiful country houses at Paunat a small village near Le Bugue set in rolling wooded hills above the Dordogne river valley.
We chose a natural pallet materials, using stone, gravel and pebble for the hard landscaping, natural timber, stone and roman tiles were used to create the summer kitchen and Abris Jardin, the pool terrace is in natural stone with a metal pool roller to the new swimming pool.
The planting reflects the local vernacular style with box hedges and feature trees laid in intricate patterns within gravel beds around the house and within the new stepped courtyard
We were involved in the design from conception to completion including obtaining all the necessary planning consents, producing the detailed the detailed design and the selection of contractors and supervision of the works on site.
A wonderful project, for a fantastic client with a talented project team.
