This site is situated high above the convergence of the Dordogne and Vezerre rivers the house sites within a historically and strategically important view line.
The brief was for a contemporary house on two levels using a combination of glass, timber and stone, with an external terrace and swimming pool.
This project neccessited the consultation with the Batiments de France and Conseil de Architecture et Environnement meetings being held at design stage with the relevant authorities to ensure that the design was accepted. Following several meetings and re designs the authorities endorsed our proposition of a the Modernist house within the strategic view line.
Consultations were also held with Landscape Architects and with Environmental Services consultants to ensure the design meet the latest regulations and We were involved in the design from conception to planning and listed building consents and produced designs for the house including photo realistic renderings, the landscape and thermal and environmental studies.
We are looking forward to this house being built it will be quite an achievement.
